A great time was had by everyone who attended our first ever “A Tasteful Affair” at Cabarrus Brewing Company. The food from Bistro Catering was superb and paired wonderfully with the four delicious beers from Cabarrus. Everyone enjoyed the evening including a behind the scenes tour and explanation of the brewing process by UNC alum and co-owner Steve Steinbacher. Our guest speaker for the evening was Rick Steinbacher, Steve’s younger brother, who is the Senior Associate Athletic Director of External Communications at UNC. He recounted his time as a football player at UNC and how his journey brought him back to the place he loved in Chapel Hill. He also answered questions from the audience. The leadership of the Cabarrus County Carolina Club would like to thank all those who attended and/or contributed to the fantastic event. We came very close to raising our goal to fund a $500.00 scholarshipfor a local high school senior who will be attend Carolina in the fall.
